Autumnal Love on The Edge - Joanne & Dave's E-Shoot

Joanne and Dave truly are the perfect fit, just as the engagement ring implies! They had each other in stitches for most of the shoot up at Alderley Edge!

Needless to say it was raining when we arrived at The Edge, so we went and had a cup of tea and a chat about their wedding plans in the little café hoping the rain would subside. After a while it was still drizzling but we decided to chance it. Jo was really nervous about having her picture taken and I didn't want to prolong her agony any longer! Once I'd found a couple of nice spots and had done a few test shots... out came the sun!! Perfect timing!

Jo and Dave were just amazing and although Jo had been nervous  to begin with she seemed to relax and enjoy it especially as Dave kept making her laugh and almost forget I was even there!

They're getting married in December and I'm so excited to be capturing their big day! Watch this space for those pictures too!

Beautiful Baby Bump

A couple of months ago I had the huge privilege of photographing my very first baby bump! I met Gemma Holmes through Bryony Pearce at her book launch. Gemma was heavily pregnant with her and Edward's third child at the time, so we quickly scheduled in a shoot just two weeks before she was due to give birth to gorgeous baby Ewan!

Gemma & Ed also have two beautiful girls, Harriet and Emily who were so excited to meet their new baby brother. Gemma looked completely stunning and glowed throughout the shoot and the girls did an amazing job of posing, getting paint everywhere and keeping everyone entertained! Also a big thank you to Ed who provided some very yummy Eggs Benedict for breakfast and who became my photography assistant for the morning!

Thank you for letting me share such precious photos and congratulations on the arrival of your beautiful baby boy!

Midsummer Romance - {Kate & Nev's E-Shoot at Oakwell Hall}

I'm so excited to share this post! Not only because they are a gorgeous, lovely couple but because they are my extended family! Kate and Nev came across my work on the fabulous Whimsical Wonderland Weddings blog, they knew I was a keen photographer but didn't realise I covered weddings too! So, when they contacted me and asked if I would capture their wedding day I did a little dance around my study and accepted!! First things first though of course... The engagement shoot!

I met them over at Oakwell Hall near Leeds back in July. We we're so lucky and had the most gorgeous summer evening light for the shoot. Kate and Nev were complete naturals in front of the camera even though they both said they didn't like having their photo taken! Oakwell Hall is a beautiful venue with lots of different types of backdrops, don't even get me started on the flowers and fields and ponds and... I think you get the picture!

Here are a few of my favourites...

Selina & Ian's Wedding at Inglewood Manor (Part One)

I was completely spoilt as I photographed Selina and Ian's beautiful wedding day at Inglewood Manor last June. I think Selina was one of the most relaxed brides I have ever come across! She began her day getting her hair and make-up done and sipping Bucks Fizz with her close friends and family. Holly, Selina and Ian's little girl was a bridesmaid and Lennon their little boy was the Best Man. He did a fabulous job of delivering the rings during the ceremony and it was such a lovely moment!

Selina looked stunning in her Ronald Joyce gown as she floated down the aisle to meet Ian. The way they beamed at each other would melt anyones heart. The love and laughter during the day drowned out the British summer weather as guests danced and chatted into the night. What a perfect day!

Anyway, less chatter from me and more photos, they do the talking better than I do! Part two to follow tomorrow. x

Venue - Inglewood Manor
Dress - Ronald Joyce
Suits - Moss Bro's
